Forts And Palaces In Jaipur

Amber Fort
Situated 11km from Jaipur, Amber is the former capital of the Kachhwaha Rajputs. Amber fort is one of the important forts of the Pink city Jaipur. Man Singh I started its construction in 1592 but it was finished by his descendant Jai Singh I. Built with white marble and red sandstone, it is an excellent blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture. Some of the beautiful monuments inside the fort are Sheesh Mahal, Jai Mandir, Diwan-e-Aam, Kali Temple, Diwan-e-Khas and Diwan-e-Aam. The Tourists can also enjoy the elephant ride which is a Royal experience.

Hawa Mahal
The most famous building in Jaipur, Hawa Mahal was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. Mr. Lal Chand Usta was the architect of the building. It is also known as the Palace of the Wind. It is a part of the city palace. The Palace is a beautiful example of the Rajputana architecture, but there is an influence of Mughal style of architecture. This pyramid shaped five-storied building has number of small windows. Women of the royal families used to watch the processions and different activities taking place on the streets.

Nahargarh Fort
Built by Sawai Raja Jai Singh in 1734, Nahargarh Fort is located 6 km North West of Jaipur, on the Aravali Hills. Later it was modified by Sawai Madho Singh in 1885. It is also known as the Tiger Fort. Nahargarh Fort provides some magnificent views of the Man Sagar Lake and the Pinkcity, Jaipur. It glorifies the rich culture and history of Jaipur and Rajasthan. It is a symbol of royal past of Jaipur.

City Palace
Built by Maharaja Jai Singh II, the City Palace is located in the heart of the old city. A perfect blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture, the Complex has many structures, courtyards, gardens and buildings. The City Palace complex has some beautiful buildings include Mubarak Mahal, Badal Mahal, Shri Govind Devji Temple, Chandra Mahal and City Palace Museum. Mubarak Mahal was built in the 19th century by Maharaja Madho Singh II. A gateway in Mubarak Mahal leads to Diwan-e-khas. Chandra Mahal, the main attraction of the City Palace has a lot of paintings, mirror work on walls.

Forts And Palaces In Jodhpur

Mehrangarh Fort
The 5 km long Mehrangarh fort of Jodhpur is one of the largest forts in India. The construction of the fort was originally started by Rao Jodha in 1459, but most of the fort which exists today dates from the period of Jaswant Singh (1638-78). Moti Mahal (Pearl Palace), Phool Mahal (Flower Palace), Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace), Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana are some of the important palaces and apartments in the fort complex.

Jaswant Thada
It is the graceful marble cenotaph of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. It was built in 1899 A.D. It is based near to Mehrangarh fort. Portraits of some leaders of Jodhpur are visible inside the monument.

Umaid Bhawan Palace
The Palace was built by Maharaja Umaid Singhji in 1829. The palace is also known as Chhittar Palace. It was completed in sixteen years. It has a collection of miniature paintings, crafts and royal. Built in sandstone, this twentieth century palace has been converted into a museum, deluxe hotel and a royal residence.

Junagarh Fort
The fort was built in 1593 by Raja Rai Singh who a general in the army of Emperor Akbar. The fort is made from red sandstone. It has a 986 m long wall with 37 bastions, a moat and two entrances. Some attractive places within the fort are the Anup Mahal, Diwan-e-Khas, Hawa Mahal, Badal Mahal, Chandra Mahal, Phool Mahal, Rang Mahal, Dungar Mahal, and Ganga Mahal.

Lalgarh Palace
Situated 3 kms North of Bikaner City, The palace was built by Maharaja Ganga Singh in the memory of his father Maharaja Lal Singh. Made of Red stone, Lalgarh palace is designed by a British architect. The palace has some beautiful gardens.

The Lake Palace
Exquisitely crafted in pure white marble, the Lake palace is located in the middle of the lake Pichola. The palace is converted in to a five star palace hotel. It is managed by the Taj group of hotels since 1971. It can be accessed by boat from the city palace. The Palace has various apartments like: the Bada Mahal, Kush Mahal, Sajjan Niwas, Phool Mahal and Dhola Mahal.

The largest palace in Rajasthan, the city palace is standing on the bank of Lake Pichola. It is a beautiful work of marble and granite. Some of the highlights of this palace complex are the three mahals - Baari, Dilkush and Moti, the Suraj Gokhada of the Sun Balcony, the Mor Chowk Known for its beautiful peacock Mosaics ; the shrine of Dhuni Mata and the Museum of Rana Pratap.

Patwon Ki Haveli
Jaisalmer is famous for its magnificent Havelis and some interesting places to visit. This five storey high Haveli is the largest Haveli in Jaisalmer. It is divided into six apartments.

Your Day to Day Tour activities:

Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
On arrival at airport / station and after collecting your baggage you have to come out of the main exit gate, where our official representative shall be waiting for you, holding a Placard Board by your Name, after meet and greet our representative shall transfer you to pre booked hotel.
Rest and overnight at hotel.

Day 02 : Delhi
After breakfast at the hotel, leave by car with Govt. approved language speaking guide for the day tour of Delhi visiting Jamia Mosque, Red Fort, Ghandi Samadi, walk through the small lanes of Chandni Chowk.
After visiting old Delhi stop for lunch in Connaught Place, which house many famous restaurants of different cuisine. After lunch leave for the tour of New Delhi Visiting Laxmi Narayan Temple, drive past The Presidents House, Embassy area, followed by visit to India Gate, Himayun Tomb, Bhai Temple (lotus Temple) and Qutab Minar.
Evening: Shopping + light and sound show.

Day 03 : Delhi – Mandawa - Shekhawati
Breakfast at hotel, leave by car to Mandawa enroute visit Junjunu, On arrival check in at Castle Hotel.
Afternoon visit, the town dominated with a painted arched gateway adorned with Lord Krishna and his cows. Visit Chokhani and Ladia havelis and the street with saraf havelis, Also visit Shiva temple with a rock crystal Lingamis also worth visit, In addition visit Dundlod fort, Nawalgrah and the main bazzar.
Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 04 : Mandawa - Bikaner
After breakfast, Drive to Bikaner, on arrival check in at Hotel. Lunch at the hotel, followed by visit to, afternoon visit to Lalgarh Palace, Junagarh fort ( 1593 AD ), Suraj Pol or sun gate, Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum, Gardens and parks, Bhandsar Jain temple and Camel research farm.
Dinner and Overnight at Hotel in Bikaner.

Day 05 : Bikaner - Jaisalmer
Breakfast at hotel, followed by drive to pokhran fort,On arrival check in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure / at leisure.
Dinner and overnight at hotel in Jaisalmer.

Day 06 : Jaisalmer
After breakfast you leave for the tour of Jaisalmer The Golden City of Rajasthan, during the tour you shall be visiting The Fort, Manak Chowk and Havelies, Gadisar lake. Tazia Tower, Havelis Nathmalji-Ki-Haveli, Patwan Ki Haveli, Salim Singh-Ki-Haveli, Jain temples, Gyan Bhandar or Library. Evening free / or trip to sam sand dunes. Overnight at hotel.

Day 07 : Jaisalmer
Leave for the camel safari. Overnight at tented camp.

Day 08 : Jaisalmer - Jodhpur
Drive to Jodhpur, en-route visit Mandore, on arrival in Jodhpur check in at Hotel. Afternoon visit the site in Jodhpur like, Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, Umaid Bhawan Palace.

Day 09 : Jodhpur - Udaipur
Morning drive to Udaipur en-route visit Rohetgarh, on arrival in Udaipur check in at Hotel, evening at Leisure. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 10 : Udaipur
Morning boat ride at Lake Pichola thereafter visit City Palace, Jagdish Temple, Museum, Saheliyon ki Bari, Pratap memorial, Fateh Sagar Lake, Pichola Lake,Sajan grah, Gulab Bagh (Gardens of the maids of Honor) etc.
Stay overnight at Hotel in Udaipur.

Day 11 : Udaipur - Pushkar
Breakfast and Drive to Pushkar, en-route visit to Elkingi, Nagda and Nathdawara, and Ranakpur Jain temples.
On arrival in Pushkar check in at Hotel. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 12 : Pushkar - Jaipur
Morning free to explore Temples, Ghats, afternoon visit Ajmer (Tomb of a Sufi saint), thereafter drive to Jaipur, on arrival in arrival in Jaipur check in at Hotel. Stay overnight at Hotel in Jaipur.

Day 13 : Jaipur
Today you shall have a complete tour of Jaipur ( The pink city of India (Rajasthan ) After breakfast you leave for an excursion trip to Amer fort. A Joy ride on elephants Back up to the Fort is real fun. Amer fort built in the 17th century, the Palace is a distinguished specimen of Rajput architecture. The Jai Mandir (Hall of Victory) is so delicately ornamented with find inlay work that it glows. The fort of Jaigarh, crowing the summit of a peak is of amazing beauty and grandeur. After visiting fort, drive back to city of Jaipur enroute visit Handicrafts factory / cottage industry - housing rajasthani handicrafts-, Gem stones and Antiques for which Jaipur is worldwide famous.
Lunch at any restaurant, followed by city tour drive past the pink city, visit City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, Rajminder Theater.
Evening shopping, Dinner at Hotel / Restaurant.
Overnight at hotel in Jaipur

Day 14 : Jaipur - Agra
Breakfast at hotel, followed by drive to Jaipur, if you are bird lover then you can take a stop at world famous Bharatpur Bird sanctuary, Visit to sanctuary shall be by cycle Rickshaws. Later continue your journey towards Agra, make stop at Fatehpur Sikri - (The deserted city of Emperor Akbar, a place worth not to miss) After visiting the Sikri, Continue your drive towards Agra. On arrival check in at the hotel. Evening Visit world famous Love memorial the Taj Mahal.
Dinner at hotel / Restaurant Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 15 : Agra - Delhi
If you wish to visit Taj Mahal at Sun rise, ( Optional ) then wake up early in the morning and visit the Taj Return to Hotel for breakfast / Breakfast and checkout from the hotel. Leave for the visit to Agra fort, and city. Continue your drive towards Delhi, enroute visiting Mathura ( Lord Krishna’s Birth temple ). On arrival Delhi transfer to airport / station for onward destination.
